Refund Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2026 — Last updated: January 1, 2026

1. Domain Transfer Finality

Refund eligibility applies only prior to registrar-level transfer initiation. Transfer initiation includes Auth Code delivery, registrar Account Push, or acceptance of transfer by the gaining registrar. Once Auth Code delivery or Account Push has been initiated, the asset has entered buyer custody and the transaction is considered final.

Domain name transfers are irreversible once an Auth Code has been delivered or a registrar Account Push has been initiated. Because the asset changes custody at the moment of transfer initiation, The SEO Marketplace cannot reverse, recall, or undo completed transfers.

2. Eligible Refund Scenarios

Refund eligibility may be considered prior to transfer initiation only in the following circumstances:

Transfer Failure

The domain cannot be successfully transferred to the buyer's registrar due to a technical issue, registrar lock, or restriction on our end that prevents delivery of the asset.

Material Misrepresentation

The asset was materially misrepresented in its listing (e.g., incorrect registration date, undisclosed active penalty, or falsified metrics). Claims must be substantiated with evidence and submitted within 7 days of transfer. Eligibility applies only if the claim is raised before transfer initiation or within the inspection window of a third-party escrow provider, where applicable.

Pre-Transfer Cancellation

The buyer requests cancellation before any transfer process has been initiated (i.e., before Auth Code delivery or Account Push). Cancellation requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

The following situations are expressly non-refundable:

  • Change of mind after the domain transfer has been initiated
  • Fluctuations in third-party metrics (DA, DR, traffic estimates) after purchase, as these are variable by nature
  • Inability to achieve specific SEO results, rankings, or revenue targets using the acquired domain
  • Buyer's failure to complete the transfer on their registrar end after Auth Code delivery
  • Disputes arising from the buyer's own due diligence findings post-transfer

4. Third-Party Platforms

If a transaction is completed through a third-party escrow or marketplace provider, that provider's refund and dispute resolution policies govern the transaction. The SEO Marketplace does not control escrow-held funds and cannot independently process refunds for escrow-facilitated transactions.

5. Service & Facilitation Fees

Any optional coordination or administrative assistance provided during an inquiry-based acquisition process is non-refundable once performed. No refund applies once registrar-level transfer has been initiated (Auth Code delivery or Account Push).

6. Chargebacks & Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, we reserve the right to suspend access to the Service and any pending transactions while the dispute is resolved. Chargebacks initiated after registrar-level transfer completion may be reviewed under applicable third-party platform policies and relevant payment network dispute procedures.

We strongly encourage contacting us directly before initiating a chargeback so we can work to resolve the issue promptly and fairly.

7. Refund Process

To request a refund review, contact us with the following information:

  • Your name and email address used in the transaction
  • The domain name and transaction date
  • A clear description of the issue and the reason for your refund request
  • Any supporting documentation or evidence

Refund outcomes for escrow-facilitated transactions are administered by the selected provider in accordance with their policies.
